System Shock Enhanced Edition is a Shooter video game developed by Looking Glass Studios and published by Night Dive Studios. The game was released for Microsoft Windows on September 22, 1994. The action takes place in the year 2072, as reported in the game’s introductory video. When almost all resources on Earth were exhausted, TriOptimum began developing special orbital stations designed to extract resources on other planets. One of these stations was immediately launched into space. This station was called “Citadel”, and it was controlled by a special AI called SHODAN. However, with the launch of the Citadel, the drilling of the planets did not begin, as SHODAN turned off the energy beam for resource extraction. This was due to the fact that there were living beings on the planet, and this planet was not subject to being destroyed. Such a failure could have caused problems with TriOptimum’s finances and the reputation of the company’s vice president, Edward Diego, if not for one small incident.
